Bún Mắm – Sweet Seafood Soup from the Mekong, with Braised Eggplant and Bitter Vegetables. Served with Fresh Seafood and Roasted Pork
Bún Mắm is one of my favorite soups. It originates from the Mekong. The flavor is sweet and very complex. The base is made with Mắm Cá, and tons of lemon grass. The sweetness of the broth and the bitterness of the vegetable makes this one of the most interesting soups in the county. If you see this dish on the street, definitely sit down and order a bowl.
