Hoi An ancient town (Quang Nam Province) has been listed among top 10 best tourism cities in Asia by the reputable tourism magazine Conde Nast Traveler in the US. This is the result of a recent survey conducted on readers of this magazine with 6 main criterion, including quality of accommodation, quality of shopping or environment condition. Based on the poll, Hoi An attains 76.4 points out of 100, while the first city on the list Bangkok has 83 points. Some other cities on the list are Shanghai (China), Hong Kong, Singapore (Singapore) or Tokyo (Japan). The old city in the central of Vietnam is appreciated with hospitality of locals and pure environment. In another survey conducted by Conde Nast Traveler at the same time, Life Heritage Resort and Nam Hai Resort in Hoi An stand 10th and 14th on top 15 resorts in Asia. It can be said that 2012 is the year of awards and recognitions to Vietnam tourism. Starting with World Nature Wonders for Ha Long Bay, many other destinations of Vietnam have been recognized by reputable organizations all over the world.
